Skills and experience

Must-have:

• At least 5 years commercial experience in a PHP/Laravel/MySQL environment
• Proven ability to design, build and deliver complex web applications to enterprise clients
• Fluent git skills
• Some knowledge of front-end JS frameworks, ideally Vue.js
• Excellent communication and team-working skills
• A thorough understanding of the principles of Clean Code

Nice-to-have:

• Working with very large data-sets
• ElasticSearch (or other document-based database systems)
• Web-scraping technologies & strategies
• Docker
• Puppeteer
• Nginx / Apache / Linux administration
• AWS (including EC2, S3, RDS, ElasticBeanstalk)
• Other programming languages
• Foreign language skills – especially reading ability in Spanish & other European languages, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, or Japanese.
